The following highlights provide an analysis of the Annual Report and Accounts of WWF-Hong Kong for the year ended 30 June 2025. The Annual Report and Accounts have been audited by Forvis Mazars CPA Limited and are prepared in accordance with the Hong Kong Financial Reporting Standards.

Our Income

HK$106.8 million in FY25. Support from individual donations declined by 2%, yet remained the largest income source, accounting for 50% of the total.Corporate donations, driven by contributions from our Corporate Membership Programme, corporate partnerships on conservation initiatives, and other corporate support, fell 4%. In FY25, the new project - Lee Hysan Foundation Growing Mai Po, together with ongoing initiatives such as Powering Our Wetlands and Sea For Future III, helped offset part of the decline in trusts and foundations, which was mainly due to the completion of projects in FY24, such as Wetland Incubator. Other income primarily reflected support for our centre-based outreached programmes, school partnerships, and contributions from the WWF Network for initiatives addressing illegal wildlife trade.

Delivering Impact and Results

Total expenditure for FY25 amounted to HK$106.7 million. Conservation, together with community engagement and education, remained our major investment pillars, representing 77% of the total expenditure, similar to FY24. We continued to focus on delivering strong conservation impact across key areas, including Mai Po and wetlands, oceans, local biodiversity, and wildlife. Additionally, 4% of our total expenditure was allocated to the WWF Network to support global objectives.

Looking ahead, WWF-Hong Kong will continue introducing innovative ideas and new technologies, transforming creative concepts into practical solutions to strengthen conservation efforts and safeguard the natural beauty of our environment for future generations. We aim to advance smart technologies to enhance wetland management and apply Internet of Things solutions in our projects to conserve ecological value.
